Thanksgiving Charity Dog Wash!: 11/23/2008
12pm-4pm; The holidays are a time for giving - and also getting! On Sunday, November 23 from 12pm-4pm we'll be washing as many dogs as we can for a great cause.

What you give? $20 to Greyhounds Only, an amazing greyhound rescue organization right here in Illinois.

What you get? Our volunteers will scrup your pup clean, blow him or her dry, clean those ears and finish off with a fantastic aromatherapy spray to keep your pup smelling fresh over the Thanksgiving weekend!

Give us a call or email us at contact@workingdogllc.com to reserve your time slot. We will certainly be accepting walk-ins, but because of the popularity of this event, we encourage everyone to pick a time and reserve it now!

P.S. If you'd like to volunteer as a dog washer we can certainly use your help! Just give us a call and we'll schedule you for a shift.

Pinkerton's First Birthday!: 11/14/2008
All Day and Weekend; Pinkerton turns one this Friday and we want you to come celebrate with us! Friday, Saturday and Sunday all of Pinkerton's favorite things will be on sale! Pink's cat brother and sister have picked their favorite things to put on sale as well! In addition, on FRIDAY ONLY we'll be giving extra stamps to our frequent washers and frequent buyer stamps for $50 purchases! Definitely stop by and give a scratch to the birthday boy!

Tricks For Treats Halloween Party!: 10/26/2008
3:00 Sharp until 7pm; We're having a Halloween Parade of Hounds followed by a very spooky Tricks For Treats Halloween Party! On Sunday, October 26, as the wind howls and the bats prepare to feed, we'll be meeting at the stroke of 3:00pm at Doggy Style Pet Shop. From there, we'll march our adorned pooches down the street creating great spectacles and the respect of black cats across the land. Upon our return to Doggy Style, there will be much partying and debauchery. The Halloween hounds can bob for tennis balls or try to eat the tail off the donkey, while witches and warlocks drink wicked brews and eat ooey-gooey treats. There WILL be a costume contest with very special "celebrity" judges! There will also be prizes for any fool who dares enter the Haunted Spa! And of course, there will be cupcakes. Delicious chocolate cupcakes. It will be an evil and intoxicating affair and we hope to see you there...!

Yappy Hour at Joe's Bar!: 08/13/2008
5:00pm-9:00pm; We'll be sponsoring a Yappy Hour at Joe's Sports Bar on August 13th from 5pm to 9pm. Dogs are welcome on their outdoor patio. There will be raffle prizes, drink specials and 10% of the proceeds from the bar's sales will go to Love Your Pet," a Chicago-based shelter placing homeless pets in forever homes. This is a great opportunity to socialize with dog owners from all over the city! We hope to see you there.

Second Annual “Stuff On My Pet” PHOTO CONTEST!!!: 07/01/2008; This year's contest was a huge success! All of the submissions were so creative - thanks to everyone who entered. And congratulations go out to Ruby, the Red Baron, who won with 93 votes!

Summer Spa Day!: 06/28/2008
12pm-4pm; Once again, we’re pulling out all the stops to raise money for one of our favorite pet-related charities. On Saturday, June 28, 2008 our volunteers will be washing as many dogs as we can to benefit Greyhounds Only, an incredible greyhound rescue organization.

These folks are so amazing and they need our help! For just $20, we will wash your dog for you, complete with a shampoo and coat condition, ear cleaning, and a blow out if you’d like! ALL PROCEEDS will be donated to Greyhounds Only.

Give us a call at 773-235-9663 or email us at contact@workingdogllc.com to reserve your wash time. Of course we will be accepting walk-ins on the day of the wash-a-thon, but this event is so popular that we encourage you to make a reservation to avoid waiting in line.

Ice Cream Social!!!: 06/20/2008
4pm-7pm; A delicious summer take on our classic Yappy Hour, we thought ice cream would be a perfect way to thank you all for a great two years in the neighborhood. We’ll be dishing out the scoops for canines and humans alike. Of course, we’ll have booze, refreshments and other snacks, and we’ll have some great sales and freebies available during the party. The best part, of course, is that the dogs get to run around all crazy in the store!

DoDivision Street Festival and Sidewalk Sale!: 05/31/2008
12:00pm-10:00pm (through June 1st); Greasy food, pony rides, craft vendors, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists and a chess tournament! What more can you ask for on an early summer weekend? We’ll be having some great sales this weekend, and some very fine (and very adoptable!) greyhounds will be hanging out at the store with us during the street festival. We hope to see you all.

P.S. Since the streets will be closed in front of the store on Saturday and Sunday, it may be difficult to pick up a large bag of dog or cat food for your pet. Mention this offer in the store during the week before the festival (May 26-May 30) and we'll knock 10% off your purchase of a 15# or larger bag of food. The early bird gets the worm!

Treehouse Cat Adoption Event: 05/24/2008
1pm-4pm; THIS SATURDAY! The folks from Treehouse Animal Foundation will be bringing over some of their sweetest kitties in need of new homes. Who can resist a fuzzy, purring, homeless kitty? I know we can’t! Tell your friends, tell your family. Come down and meet your new companion this Saturday.

Doggy Style Turns TWO!!!: 05/21/2008; Please join us throughout the entire month of June to celebrate Doggy Style's second anniversary in the neighborhood. We are so excited to have made such an impression, and so very grateful to every one of our customer. It has been a pleasure meeting and serving all of you.

Beer & Brauts Yappy Hour: 03/28/2008
5PM-7PM; Save the date for our first Yappy Hour of 2008. We’ll be celebrating the end of lent and the beginning of baseball season! There will be beer and brauts for both humans and dogs alike. Free gift bags to pups adorning their favorite team’s gear! We hope to see you there.

March is National Nutrition Month!: 03/01/2008
(All Month); Don’t forget to think about your cat or dog’s nutrition too. Stop into the store for some free samples, and as always, we are all happy to help you help your pet to have great nutrition.

Greyhounds Only Food Donation 2008!: 02/28/2008; Thanks to everyone who donated food and treats, we were able to deliver over 1 TON of dog food to the Greyhounds Only kennel in Wisconsin. Greyhounds Only is an all-volunteer based adoption group that rescues unwanted greyhounds – mostly from the tracks – and places them in their forever homes. We’re so excited to support such a wonderful organization!
